Residents at River’s Watch are required to sign a one year lease, which lease CAN BE TERMINATED UPON THIRTY DAYS’ NOTICE. Rent cannot increase more than once a year, and any increase cannot exceed 5%.

There is a one month security deposit, and rent is pro-rated upon a resident’s arrival. Other than a one-time fee for a Life Line pendant for an apartment, THERE IS NO UP-FRONT OR COMMUNITY FEE.

A $500 non-refundable deposit reserves an apartment or a spot on our priority wait list, which deposit is credited towards the first month’s rent upon occupancy.

 

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY MONEY RUNS OUT?

That is one of the most common questions when looking at senior residential communities.  And the answer if you are a resident of Suffield by the River is you don’t have to worry.  Due to our common ownership, residents of Suffield by the River have a priority admission* into Suffield House, one of the area’s finest skilled nursing facilities.  And unlike life care communities which require a large down payment in exchange for nursing home care, Suffield by the River does not require you to part with your life savings yet still affords you what is in essence life care.  Why would you choose another community which does not offer you this same peace of mind?

*Priority admission is dependent upon source of payment (Medicaid is an acceptable source of payment) and medical eligibility.
